so i was involve in an acciden in january which was in no way my fault (someone drove into the back of me)

so i've been looking to renew my insurance in march and i've just been looking at a few quotes, but...

why does it cost me £200 more than if someone didnt crash into the back of me?? i've said it wasnt my fault and the 3rd party was at fault but i still got to pay more??

anyone know?

Because you've been involved in an accident. You drive at a time/place/way that they now consider to have a higher probability of having another accident.

you might drive more carefully after your accident but most other drives will be involved in another, or that's what insurance company's tell us
