I've had 2 engines and gearboxes rebuilt by southam and they are excellent engines. they take their time but they are worth the wait. good service, freindly and they actually listen to you. I am really pleased with the results from both engines they rebuilt for me. go and see them and discuss your requirements with them and your budget.

They are just fitting mine at the moment, they don't have a website and don't advertise but they are always busy which says it all really, Simon who does the machining is on the mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk forum and really knows his stuff, Colin who does the fitting and mechanics has just been to the monte carlo with a customers car and Rod who builds the engines has been building them for 30 years+ (he looks like he show be retiring lol) so they really know their stuff. Price wise i think on a par with anyone decent, my full build was around £3000 incl. parts, machining and labour.
