Can't afford the price of a big valve head. Not looking for a monster increase, just like the idea of a bit more 'Go' for a good price.
Will probs pair it up with a Stage 1 kit at some point.
Cheers much.

Wish I could afford a cam to go with it

By the way, where in Manchester are you? I'm at Salford Uni. Maybe you've seen a Taihti Blue Mayfair with white steelies flying around?

Well, the reason why I can afford it (just) is that I've been working overtime since last July

I'm no expert but what I've been reading on here and in Keith Calver's articles (search for Calver's Corner on web) and a LOT of Sprocket's posts across the web (not just on TMF) is to go with a modded airbox first (not the cone) with a drop in K&N, with an RC40 twin box side exit (as per Calver and TMF postings). I'm going for a Maniflow as they seem to sound better and are better built.
THEN, go with the head. I'm sure other, more experienced TMF'ers will give more advice or correct me if need be. Like I say, I'm starting mine on Monday so am just collating info I have spent all my spare time reading and checking !
oh and will keep an eye out for you once mine is on the road and I finish my overtime !

ah - I live in Eccles, Salford - just down the road from you !
Well, the reason why I can afford it (just) is that I've been working overtime since last Julyto get the money to get my 94 Spi back on the road. I can't really afford the cam, but am stretching it as to change it later will mean taking the box and engine out again and I won't have the cash at all then.

The modded air box thing gets me. Do you mean this? http://www.cloud-nin...ech_airbox.htm#
The guy cuts off half the things that support the air box on the injector. Bet it rattles much.
I'm only going with the modified head because I can get it done for next to nothing. Seems logical

By the way, if you fancy a hand with anything during term time, let me know. Just tackled a head gasket, so now I know everything

Who is doing your head modding cheap by the way ?.
Oh and get some security like a disklock or wheel clamp. There are thieving gits galore in Salford - I'm keeping mine garaged

How does that work out on the injection box? Just drill on the outer parts of the air filter?
