when stripping down steve my mini van i found a nest behind the dash.
Also ive been called out to a couple of breakdowns in the past where mice have chewed through all the fuel injection wiring after taking up residence under the engine cover.......they must like the warmth

When I was in my early teens we broke a couple of Minis that had been dragged out of a farm yard and ended up a couple little mice running around the work shop.

Yup!!.. Mine was layed up in the garage for a few years and when I came to resurrect it a few years back, I discovered that I had left a pack of chewing gum in the glove box and that mice had clearly eaten the chewing gum and made a nest out of the paper & foil!

Had a mouse in mine during the resto, when there were no doors on the car, it ate through my speaker cabling..... and made me have 'brown pants' whilst working on the car haha >_<

I've had them in the past and possibly still do.

There's a damson tree in our front garden and I often find the stones in the engine bay. I've also found poo in the glove box and one shredded my chamois demister thing.

During the snow the other week, I was locking the front door and looked over at the mini and saw one drop off the back of the car and scurry towards the house.

Holy cow that is one huge mouse!! What's more you must have hands the size of football pitches!!.... oh and why are you keeping your car in a cardboard box as well, that can't be very handy when you want to get in it in a hurry, especially when you've got hands that big!!

When we pulled the engine out of mine I noticed that something had chewed through one of the caps on the brake cylinders. I then remembered that when we went to look at the car for the first time the previous owner removed a load of leaves and twigs from the little flat space right next to them

Here's a pic (after the leaves have gone :P )

Glove boxes certainly appear to be a common nesting place here. You'd have thought that Rover would have realised that making the dash lining out of Swiss Cheese, was bound to cause this sort of problem!!
