hi
just welded in a subframe repair panel on the heel board and left the other side
original tryed the subframe back in and the holes line back up
what i want to know is . Is there any test so i can make sure its bob on
or should it be all right if they line up trying to advoid the crabing effect

if you have not touched the rear subframe mountings on either side and when you refit the frame they line up as before then it should be ok
if you are in doubt .. get it 4 wheel alighned at one of the better tyre places (one of the laser PC based machines is better than the "bit of string" method as it is less open to human error or lack of training)

Got a flat floor in your garage? Get the Mini in the garage (or drive as long as it's pretty much flat and level) and put it on stands front and rear. Use a plumb bob to drop a line from certain points of reference on the subframes and mark the ground with chalk at these points then measure between them to check that the measurements are all symetrical side for side. The process is described in detail in the Haynes manual.

You could use adjustable rear camber brackets.Have the car checked for the tracking this sould sort out any problems.
