me and my mate are about to embark on a journey into engine conversion... he is a mechanic and i used to be a panel beater... so were probably half way there in terms of knowledge! (bold, possibly very wide from the mark statement!)
anyway, on a tight budget we are looking for as many parts to assist as possible! subframe, mounts, everyting and anything as cheap as possible! (think we have an engine and box lined up, but even so if you have one give me a pm anyway!)
as for the help side, would people recommend modifying an original subframe to fit the engine to in order to keep cost down, or buy a ready built allspeed type jobbie? wheres the line for modifying and getting purpose build? i dont want to spend hours/days trying to modify something thats not going to be fit for purpose (climbing onto the backs of others in order to achieve greatness, is commonly frowned upon, but in this case i hope you nice guys will help me out!!!) any links to threads with decent subby mods etc etc would be greatly appreciated!
