Been looking at cyllinder heads for my new 1380 engine build. The engine will be user partly on road and for track days, sprints, hillclimbs... That kinda thing. Is most likely going too be using a Kent 286 or Swift SW10 and breathing via twin HS4s. Been looking at heads from a few different companies, namely Slark Race Engineering and Calver ST, just seem better value than some others. Anyone had any experience of either? Any other recommendations for people for headwork?

Cheers! :D

Have a word with Turbo Phil from turbo-mini.com. He also does heads for NA Engines too. He's on the forum and doing work on my head at the moment.

Hope he doesn't mind me advertising him.

Have you tried MED, my mate has one of their full race spec heads on his 1399, it is an awsome piece.

I had an MED Road/Comp head in 2001. It was an awesome bit of kit.

Brett Simms as recommended by Bill Quine (if you're old enough to know who he is).

Have been looking at the MED heads, if was to send mine in as an exchange then the price doesn't seem to crippling! :P
Will try and give Slark a ring tomorrow and see what they say, have heard good things about them and they do seem to build good competition engines!
Will also speak to Brett Simms, I believe he worked on lots of the Longman heads right?

Swiftune don't seem too give much information on cylinder heads on there site, I know they build fantastic full race engines, but do they do stuff for road/occasional competition as well?
