I've always used LCBs myself but on this (standard) 998 Metro engine we wanted to keep the twin cast manifold when the engine goes in.I'd have thought there is a twin downpipe -to- Y piece somewhere, made for this job?? The rest of the exhaust system is undecided as yet, probably governed by the responses here.

Minispares C-AEG371 part number. Goes from the twin cast manifold to under the car into an RC40 etc. Not cheap though.

He's talking about the exhaust manifold connected to the metro and RSP/Mainstream coopers which is two round pipe connections rather than the later connection used on the Spi and Mpi.

There's three types of manifold, does yours have a separate inlet manifold or cast as one lump, reason being I believe there to be a diameter issue with trying to mount the Mini pipes p/n GEX12017 onto the small bore manifold, the manifold used on the 1300 metro is the same as that used on the RSP and Mainstream cooper.

The Metro p/n for the are GEX3777 and GEX33017, and you'll pick up one of these from a local motor factor or such like for next to nothing...

edit...

just did a quick google...
