After realising the original radiator had a leak I had to use a spare I had laying around which is grubby and doesn't look good; a new rad will have to be bought in the near future then!
Any way, I got the engine started for the first time in 9 and a half years! Needs alot of setting up but for now:

Hope the video works!

I have bought and fitted Minispares adjustable lower arms and tie bars (you can see the main reason I changed the tie bar)

I also refurbished my rear brakes... well, some nearly new back plates that weren't fitted to my car yet! I decided to paint them body colour (mainly as I'd run out of black but also for a different touch!). New shoes, springs and cylinders were all fitted before replacing the rusty old brakes on the car:

Front calipers were removed, wire brushed and painted:

And then fitted with new pads, split pins and springs:

Front subframe mounts were all changed:

And at the same time I finally replaced the front cones (I fitted the rears years ago but didn't have a compression tool handy!)

You can see the difference between new and old cone height:

The heater matrix was leaking so i removed the heater unit, and put in a new matrix. At the same time, the foam on the direction flap was disintergrated so I renewed this with some like for like foam!

I also fitted my new sunvisors today as the old beige and brown ones wouldn't look so nice against my black headlining!

Tomorrow, RH fuel tank fitting... I am trying to get it on the road (for the first time in many years) in time for the Sharnbrook classic car show on the 12th May:
