I see there are different Facet fuel pumps with different PSI, and BHP

I was wondering if the Facet Road Fuel Pump Kit - Solid State from Mini Sport would be suitable for my engine or do I need the fast road kit. Its 100bhp ish.

Also would the Facet petrol king go with either of these as it says the pressure is between 1.5 and 5.

Cheers

The pump you provided a link to will work fine in your application. The small print says it is for up to 130 BHP and that it supplies fuel at 2.5-3 PSI. If you are still using SU carbs, that will work well. You do not need a separate pressure regulator. Filters though are excellent insurance against debris reaching the carb. I typically put a coarse, see-thru glass bodied filter BEFORE the suction side of the fuel pump and a fine paper element disposable fuel filter right before the carbs. You do not want a fine element filter on the suction side of the pump.

Follow the directions for the Facet. They will want you to mount it low, at the back of the car, and preferably at an inclined angle. The angled mount is difficult but supposedly helps the pump last longer.

Thanks very much. If in the future i decided to fit a weber 45 would i need more pressure and have to go with the fast road pump and regulator? Would this work with my hif44 as it is now because i dont want to have to change it all again. Cheers

The low pressure pump you linked to would work well with SU HS and HIF carbs.

I have never worked with a Weber carb. I understand that they can accept higher pressures and perhaps even work better with higher pressures. If your intent is to eventually fit a Weber you may want to select a higher pressure pump as you suggest and also fit a pressure regulator right before the carb(s). That will allow you to fine tune the pressure for your SUs or the Weber. You would not face changing the pump when you change carbs but you would have the additional initial cost of the pressure regulator.

Others will have to tell you what fuel pressure is ideal for Weber carbs.
