Cash price for the car and parts as shown in the pictures and described below (less the acewell digi dash) will be £1600 however I am open to swapping for a 1.8 k series or VVC engine in good condition with ECU, wiring loom, exhaust and inlet manifolds for a engine conversion in a MK3 metro plus cash. I am also open to other offers of other cars but must be interesting or different, however needs to be running and have an MOT.
Originally a 1984 Piccadilly I have undertaken a lot of the work to turn this great car in to a light weight weekend track / weekend toy. It just needs someone to spend some time finishing off and getting this great car on the road. Please do not get the impression this is a quick fix to get this on the road there is still a reasonable amount of work required, however most of the hard work has been done for you and you will end up with a fantastic car once completed. The car comes with an over bored 998 block (+30 thou) wedged crank, lightened and balanced rods and most parts required to finish the build.
Collection of the car will require a trailer or similar and a reasonable size car / van for remaining parts engine block etc. Cash on collection only, I will also include a disc with all photos showing the work undertakes so far with the sale for future reference. I will have all parts boxed and ready for collection.
Completed Work
Body work - replaced front floors, passenger outer sill, patches in boot, removal of battery box, single skin fibreglass boot, rear arches tubbed rear seat overhang removed, cross brace removed from inside bonnet, MK1 rear light panels fitted, Miglia arches fitted, rear valance replaced, front and rear bumpers removed. MINI rear fog light fitted, front wing seams removed (welded and filled) filler cap hole removed.
Wind up windows have been removed and replaced with Perspex sliding windows, as well as Perspex rear pop open windows.
Fully under sealed under side, could do with a touch up since additional work has been completed since first painted.
Interior and exterior finished in Satin beige with satin black roof and arches, great finish with a real sleeper feel.
Gear shifter moved to internal position with UJ fitted ready for connection to gearbox
6 point roll cage fitted and painted black, cage has been bolted in with additional floor plate bracing welded in place.
Light weight fibreglass seats fitted with alloy side mounts
Front and rear subframes reconditioned with new hilos fitted to both, both freshly painted with no rust, front and rear negative camber kit fitted, polly bushes all round, new rear brake pads, 4 pot metro callipers included for front but not yet reconditioned or fitted. New copper brake pipes fitted ready and Gmax shocks.
Light weight alloy fuel tank fitted with black braded lines run internally through to bonnet, return pipe also run for use with electric fuel pump (not included)
Relocation of battery and washer bottle internally
Light weight alloy door cards and rear cards.
Work to be completed
Engine build and fit.
Complete wiring, including engine cut off, adding of wiring for washer jet pump and fuel pump and completion of new fuse box fitting.
Recondition 4pot callipers and fit, plumb up to brake lines.
Fit harnesses
General setup and other minor tasks.
