I have had on order for several weeks a set of soft Yokohama AO32Rs but there seems to be a shortage of them at the moment.
I have entered my mini into the Crystal Palace Sprint in May, but want to do a bit of testing before hand to set the car up. But I have no decent tyres!!
Are there any alternatives in 10" to the 32's? I don't know of any. I will need a set of street tyres too so I don't mind buying a less extreme set of list 1b tyres, any suggestions??

Well other than the a008 or falken fk07e there aren't any other similar priced 165 width tyres. There are the dunlop r7s but there £90 each.

Yep I have seen the Dunlop R7's , if I can stretch to them for road tyres i'd like to as they look period. Expensive though.
Guess I better just hastle the suppliers!

I have the Dunlop R7's (not really that expensive if compared with modern cars tyres!).........but there are also the less period looking Dunlop D93 which are also excellent road/race 10" tyres and and slightly cheaper:

I have a set of those Dunlop Aquajet on there now, brand new. Well, they were in the 1990's when they were manufactured!! Be sat in the dark used only for shows, I am borrowing them currently but they cannot deal with my Swiftune motor, even looking at the accelerator results in a huge wheelspin!

The D93J look a good compromise, but pricey.

Would medium not do for the short term? Alternatively I'll have some softs in stock tomorrow....

if you end up using falcons best to get them taken down to 2 mm
for optimim use ( unless wet)
i had falcons on the red car showing lots of camber front 2-3
i had 39lb f and 36 b, this was i AUS when used falcons in historic
before they changed to hoosiers ( now there a GREAT tyre but not road legal

Hi Will. I am just doing the Sunday, but will probably be watching Saturday and I have volunteered to help set up a bit Friday.

Cannot remember what class I am in, think it might be C4?? Modified roadgoing 1380cc. I have perspex windows so have to go in modified class. As a side, I just stuck the mini on the council weighbridge in Croydon, bang on 600kgs in sprint spec with interior trim removed but a full rollcage. Pleased with that!

What spec is your car?

C4 is not a class. As you have plastic windows your car is not eligable for the roadgoing classes. so you must be in the Modprod class. They are C13- pre 1970, C14- 1970s and '80s and C15- 1990s to present day.

My car is a dedicated hillclimb car on slicks with a 7-port 998cc turbocharged engine. 600kgs is good, I'm around 540kgs.

Nice! Yes, C14 is my class you have jogged my memory! Make sure you come and say hi, my car is a black 1971 K-reg .

Your car sounds nuts. Mine I have to keep road legal to appease the wife, and when needed be able to carry 3 of us in safety. But oh how I'd love to take the hole saw to it and strip every last gramme out! Eventually I want to develop it into a stage rally car, doing stage rallys and classic rallys.
