There you go... I dont like the original Clove Brown Colour very much so it's basically got to go.

The new colour will be an original mini colour though being: BLVC99 Damask Red (CMA) I have lots of new parts for her, too (It's a her now that I have decided on her gender... a girl car)

Kind regards

Chris

Keep her poo brown!! Don't change it all now....you'll have to change the interior an' all. May as well just buy a different car!

Bodywork looks good.

Everybody loves a poo-brown mini.

Hello everyone,

Yes, she is in good condition isnt she... not perfect though but neither am I and i'm pretty lucky to have only surface rust, but I'm really sorry everyone :shy: I'm going to be changing the colour as Poo (Clove) brown does not float my boat and the Damask Red (basically burgundy but with a posh name) is a colour that I truly like, besides I have already bought all the paint now. ;D

The interior will be changed too and I have lots of new parts for her to do this. I know the purist would feel sick in seeing her transformed in colour and interior (all these mods) but I dont want to restore her to her original concorse condition - instead I want to make her into the car I want... this includes a new dash, centre console, new seats, carpet and so on, just making her mine, lol

I'm really amazed though at all the accessories and different things you can buy and do with these vehicles and although I cant say It will be a speed machine... it will be my 998cc.

I'm going to keep a record of her transformation on this thread with lots of pic's. :D One thing I will say about one particular mod is this... "have you seen the price of electric window kits" lol the price of these hurt and smarts a lot, lol Unless I can get a second hand one or a bargain elsewhere I'm going to have to wait a while as I cant afford the price these things command :(

Kind regards

Chris.

Very nice! but looks a tad low - has it got adjustable suspension on the front?

if not the cones could of collapsed, which wouldn't be unusual on a 27 year old car that has only done 12k miles

"Collapsed Cones... Adjustable suspension... " I dont know pal? I genuinly thought it was low at the front too when I bought her but this is my first mini, I will have to get my haynes manual out and have a look at what it says, unless someone can point me in the right direction to check these two factors? If you need pics, of certain areas to tell, just let me know.

Kind reagrds

Thinking about this topic, I will post a new thread about this suspension matter just in case others like myself in the future want to know about this too.

I will title it "Adjustable Suspension? What am I looking for" Sincere thanks to yousmeg as I would not have given this aspect a thought and I'm truly greatful for you mentioning this as It's OK me moding my car, but the mechanics have to be right before anything like that as my family will be using this car too. Kind regards

Yes, that's right! :D

Well it was advertised on there originally, but after some haggling over the phone and a quick trip down the M1 to see her in person, giving me a chance to crawl all over and under her we eventually agreed on a cash price and it was removed from flea bay as no longer available at that point. She is a good car, but the brown has to go for a rich burgundy red, or Damask red as its called, lol Kind regards.
