well to start of i have just put a 998 metro engine in my mini and it keeps losing water ive checked every pipe and the head and its not coming out of anywhere then i noticed 2 day that its coming out of the overflow pipe on the radiator the radiator cap dose not look perished but have i got the wrong cap on it for that engine ive looked on ebay and it has confused me a lot there is all different types for example 15psi and 13LB what dose this mean and do any 1 know what cap i need 2 get

There are lots of similar looking caps used on all sorts of older vehicles, go off the year of the car. The poundage tells you what pressure in the cooling system will open it. Higher is better as the boiling point increases along with pressure - provided your hoses & rad core can handle it.

the cap i have atm is a 15psi, i cant find any higher than 15 could my 15psi one have worn out or borken ? :/

The rubber might have deteriorated, you can feel if there's any spring pressure by pushing it when it's just sat in the neck before tightening.

mine was throwong some out overflow and the cap wasnt old i changed it
same 15lb one and its now fine
