if it is a cooper S head/1300GT head it will have 12G1805 stamped on the flat area near the thermostat head. This would tell you it is the same as a cooper S head but could have been fitted to an Austin 1300GT but if there is SS or another letter stamped below this number then it would indicate that this is from a cooper S

Just had a look at the forst one i could get to and this says 12g2957 do you know what this is? Cheers

where abouts did it say this and are you sure i didnt say 12G295 ?

In the middle on the head. It says mowog then 12g295 and then undeRneath 7

this is off an earlier cooper or an MG1100 and these heads are gettin rare now in good condition and are worth £150 + well worth keepin.

possibly not much more that 150 thinkin about it but if in condition u should be able to get that for it

Cheers mate it isnt in the best condition but i will give it a clean up and have a look at it.
