Just managed to get all my electrical gremlins sorted on my Open Classic, touch wood. (yay!)

I want the Walnut dash fitting to my mini, it's the 92 British Open Classic (I believe it was optional on these). My friend has a 3clock dash that she's willing to sell to me, BUT; it is a 3-clock dash, whereas mine is the 2. Is there any fairly easy ways to change this?

Thanks in advance.

You could just find a tacho (rev counter). They are really easy to fit. I put a rev counter in my 91 city when I got a 3 clock board. As I remember it just clipped to the other two clocks and all the wires for it were allready there. I might have had to modify the PCB very slightly but I can't remember.

It was certainly easier than modifying the dash board would have been. For me anyway

That sounds ideal, sounds fairly simple too. I just need to know what clocks are in mine now, so that I get the same style.

Your clocks are the Nippon seiki ones with the clear plastic lenses.
Ive remembered what I had to do to the PCB. I didn't have a 3 clock PCB so I had to solder some wires from the board to take a live and earth for the rev counters bulb and to earth the unit.
But you can get new 3 clock PCB's now :) http://www.minispare...id=42673&title= £60 but a better job perhaps then soldering wires on.
Do open classics have white/magnolia dials? If you can't find a rev counter in the right colour you could always make them all match with something like these;

Sorry, Ive been flicking through the mini spares catalogue all day, Other mini parts suppliers are available :D
