after months of trawling through forums, i decided it was time to show off my progress (or lack of)

about me: 18, started off with a very limited knowlege of cars,

my mini: its a 1976 leyland mini, 998 engine


i bought the car September 2011, for around 600

take the carpet up, this is what i find,

so after a grind and a spot of primer this is the engine bay

Winter project..... due to weather ive been stuck in the garage.... this is the end result, it had about 40,000 on the clock, and it worked when removed, so the head has been off and checked the pistons, replaced the gaskets, and a lick of paint.
