I don't think you will need to take the shoes off, you will need to take the drum off to gain access to the bolt head and maybe take the hub off aswel.

Oh in other news. with the car in the body shop ready to be painted i tracked down a guy to do the airbrushing.
This guy to be exact..... http://www.darrenhor...cars/4530751595 <<<some of his work!
He asked me to send him an idea of design and after telling him i was really terrible at design/grafics etc i gave it a go.....
This is what i came up with (replace the skulls with carbon fibre)..... no laughing!!! lol
something like this...
with abit of this involved somewhere.
Dont judge me, i'm only a chef
Anyway, needless to say he is now making me some designs for £250 and if i go ahead with the airbrushing he said he would take it off the price so it seems fair enough.

Got back to the garage after a long week of work (Being a chef is hard work ). so i managed to sort of work out the bolts but still it was abit of a guesstimate as to which ones go where.
will it really be that much of a problem if i slightly mix up some of the bolts? haha.
Anyway back to the project. i got most of the sub -frames sorted with only 3 threads needing to be tapped and then a few bolts left to fit and the rear handbrake brackets.
this is what the front sub-frame is looking at the moment.
And then the rear one sits like this.
I think i have done a pretty good job if i do say so myself.
pictures of the colour i will hopefully be getting her sprayed soon will soon follow.

You will regret those poly subframe mounts. They will deform very quickly and you will be replacing them. Doesnt even look like they have the tubes where the bolt goes through?
Looking good otherwise.

Thank you...
I have been advised by several people to always use poly as they last longer than the rubber ones?
They do have the little metal inserts in them. Pretty much have to put them in or the bolts dont fit properly.
You certainly need the tubes yes. The rubber ones are quite robust and work well. The poly ones dis-shape and disform to the point of no return.
Theres quite afew topics on it, either all rubber or all solid mounts.

hmm i did not know that. i used them on my last one and all seemed fine so i guess i was abit silly thinking it will all be good lol

So the engine that i had was race spec so it had high compression or something or other, so that has now been switched out for a new one which i received alone with the k series 16v twincam conversion!!
the spec will be:
1330cc block
omega forged pistons with h beam con rods
twin cam 16v k series head
4 speed straight cut gearbox
PICCIES!!!!
Time to get back to it. Gotta get this baby painted!!!
