Hi.

For sale I have a set of straight cut drop gears for a 998 and a GT Close ratio gearbox with 3.2 metro turbo final drive.

The drop gears are A series so the 1st motion drop gear is not suitable for the A+ gearbox. In good condition apart from the primary gear which has some pitting but I don't see why they cant be re-used...... they came off my 998 fast road engine that I used as a daily for 2 years and had no issues at all. The primary bush is also in good condition.

I want £125 for these and I will chuck in a pair of idler shims. I will take sensible offers and I am willing to post.

The GT Close ratio gearbox with 3.2 final drive was also used on my 998 fast road engine. Its a great gearbox to use with fast road cams and keeps you in that all important power band. No trouble selecting gears, no funny noises and doesn't jump out of gear. Crunches slightly going down from 3rd to 2nd but only under very spirited driving, otherwise it's fine. Uses the correct 22G1040 close ratio laygear which are becoming very rare.

Asking £100 which I think is a bargain.

I am located in Crewe, Cheshire.

Cheers

I can send the gearbox by courier.

Just had a quote off parcel2go and TNT with express delivery was the cheapest at £17 inc VAT if anyone wants it posting.

Danny, the gearbox is A series, it uses the smaller 26.9mm idler gear bearing. There are also no grooves in the teeth.
