Hello to all you other mini lovers out there.
I am after some help, tips, pointers, advice, solutions or anything that will get my metro turbo engine running again.
Just a brief background story......
I had a 1985 mini with a 1275cc engine in it but blew the gear box. A mate of mini had a clubman for sale with a metro turbo engine in it, so i bought that as a donna car (the engine worked fine in it). Dropped the mg turbo out and thought while it's out i'll get a reconditioned turbo. Got it, fitted it, dropped it in my car and wired her up for take off. But nothing. I have tried everything I know, swapping vacuum pipes, new fuel pump and lines and still nothing. All I did was change the turbo, I just don't get it. I am at my wits end now and i'm almost close to taking it to a garage and saying "fix it". But thats too easy and possibly expensive and I don't want to give up on it.
So could anyone help a fellow mini lover out......

If you have simply changed the turbo that won't stop it running.
Have you swapped everything from the "donna" or donor car? fuel pump, fuel regulators, coil, fuel tank possibly
