Seriously considering getting a run-a-round so I could get some serious work done on the mini and not have to use it.
The only thing stopping me is stupidly high insurance on any other car..ive tried Kas, corsas, clios, rover metros and 25s..everything I try comes in at 5-7K

Ive only been driving for 5 months but still...5grand :0

While im here does anyone know what I need to ride a 125 motorbike? Is it just a CBT? :)

Maybe a rather pointless thread..sorry haa

How old is he??

Im worried about renewing the insurance on the mini at the end of this year, with footman james at the moment but ive heard they wont insure anyone under the age of 21 anymore...even if you are already with them..

On what his dads insurance? I cant believe for a second any insurance company would feel someone is likely to be a safer driver in a subaru than a mini

And chance its not true, it depends who your underwriter for footman james is. One underwriter backed out and now they are looking for a new one. I wouldent worry yourself to much. I am also with footman.

Last September Scott got fully comp on his 03 plate 1ltr Corsa for £2000. The car cost the same. That was the cheapest car he could insure.

Lol, who was you trying to get quotes with? Please dont say online compare the market and all that c**p they are the most unrealistic quotes. I am still to this day quoted 4.5k for my mini with the modified 1275, yet footman insure me for less than a grand...

Cars that ricers/chavs/badmans dont drive tend to be your cheaper ones to insure... Or rarer cars that insurance companies rarely see. Daihatsu charade gtti was a beast and would challenge a new golf gti off the line and cheap to insure, however they are rare as rocking horse :xxx: Also cars like what garath has shown and also the fiat seicento, you get the idea =]
