so in the last year i know 4 people including myself who have all been rear ended in their minis and i know 1 person who got rear ended in a different car. which made me think. are minis dangerous cars to drive? because i know alot more people without minis whos cars are fine and the limited number of people with minis have had their cars ruined. anyone know the statistics if there are any?

and i know people are gonna start posting things like "you should get another rear brake light in your back window" but i'm not asking that. so if anyone knows what car is most involved in a non fault accident that will be interesting?

Been rear ended in your car, is it not just luck (bad luck ?) of the draw, and nothing to do with the car you drive ?

It would be difficult to stipulate accurate findings. This is because you need to find out the % of cars are minus, and how what percentage of these are involved in rear end non adult accidents, and then the same for every other marque on the road which has been involved in said accident, which would be a kin lot of work as nearly most marque has been involved. But then youd have the anomaly of who drives which type of car and whether they were more, or less likely to be involved in an incident.

I've been rear ended twice, in the same car, 2 weeks apart. But since then, I've been fine & still driving Minis. (Thought not the same one - It didn't survive the second attack!)

There might be something in it, in that the lights aren't as bright, it's smaller than what most people are used to etc - but I doubt there's something definitive that you could take from it. I think it's probably just really, really bad luck!

Would've thought it'd be harder in a Mini - phnarrr :teehee: Well someone had to

You have to consider the sample population, maybe you just know & notice proportionally more Mini drivers.

Insurance premiums are based on these sort of stats, for an easy indicator.

But Ethel, you can't take premiums as a figure, as there are far too many more variables, like speed, crash safety, value, etc
