
Moving A Bare Shell

has anybody got any pics of maybe what they have used in the past, I have to move my shell on a gravel drive some times so the small type of wheels maybe not good enough...
pictures or your oppinion appreciated

I have used a pallet with 100m castors and it works fine - I would use bigger wheels for gravel though. I use a ratchett strap to hold the shell on, probably don't need it but just makes sure.
That's what I use as well - with 6" castors though. Bought the castors at a car boot sale for £8 for all 4.

If you can weld a metal frame and fix the castors to that, then stack pallets on that instead of the other way round. Then you can add or remove pallets as needed. Gives you an adjustment on height.thanks i will have to try and get some wheels to fix on a pallet, might get the welder out and try and make some kind of frame so the shell is off the floor high enough to work on,
