I'l soon be dropping a turbo lump into my motah, but i was just wondering what's the best thign to do with the bonnet?
Shall i just drill some holes in the front, put a scoop in, and if so where abouts, do some cut outs in it??
Im not really concerned about it looking excellent as im aiming for power over looks now!
Any help would be appreciated!
cheers
Bruce

Just had one of these CUSTOM made for my turbo

But mines alot better, and its a mk1 shape, so means I can now have a mk1 grille

Well mines been fabrated rounda mk1 bonnet, and will be "custom" once I make my mind up how to have it!
Don't you just love choices!
Pan, think of it this way,
a webber = 1 tank of fuel doing 56 miles
a turbo = a smile that doesn't disappare for ages!

Why dont you just raise the back of the bonnet with bonnet pins? Give it that extra racing look aswell
Im sure this improves air flow around the engine

yeah i was going to do that anyways, but i'd quite like cold air being directly fed into the engine too as im always weary about engines running hot!
Probably just end up cutting and meshing some holes in the bonnet, as this keeps costs down and gives the car a more rough round the edges look!

The most important thing is to have to kind of vent/holes above the carb. This will allow the heat from the Turbo to escape. Raising the rear of the bonnet will help somewhat.

cool. Think im just going to raise the back of the bonnet, and maybe cut 2 holes and mesh them with black mesh!
Cheers for the advice chaps!
