i am Chris from bavaria, and i hope this excuses my rather bad english writing..
This is my first post in this forum, but i follow this forum a long long time now. It was since i decided to build a ProMotive bike engined Mini.
I started my project about a year ago now. At first some facts about my "original Mini".
It is (was) a 1992 1.3l carburated Mini, edition named "Black Magic".
Now i put the in germany Called RN01 Yamaha R1 engine from 1999 in it.
I want to post some pictures of my built, because the forum was a great help for me in build up my car, and i got much help and ideas from it.
I have got many many pictures taken of my car, so i don´t know what to post.
Firstly one of the finished car.
Regards
Chris

thank you very much.I´m glad that you like it.
I have long considered which engine conversion i would like to do. I thought the honda would be a good desicion too, but i thought it would be a lot more of work to do. But the Pro-mo was enouth too

Small Car needs a small engine! It´s like downsizing from 1300 to 1000ccm.
I have enough pictures to post, but i didn´t know where to start...
So i take a few of the finished car.
Regards
Chris

After a few kilometers of testdriving (without earplugs) i started the fight against the noise.
It´s really really loud inside of the car, so i firstly decided to put bitumen into the car, and insulation mat in the bonnet.
I think the Bastuck exhaust system isn´t the best choice in reducing the loudness.

Chris

unfortunately i didn`t have the possibility to drive very long, because i firstly need the permission for a legal drive on german roads

It´s a new driving experience and very interesting for shure.
Driving a mini is already getting off the line, but i think it´s a big difference to have a bike engined one. So the people are very confused in seeing a car with the sound of a motorbike.
I also hope beeing not disappointed of my car, because it was indeed very expensive. But i don`t think so!

What brake setup do you use?

I used the 6piston fixed caliper brake system from Tarox breaks. It fits perfectly under my 13" Rims. I think they fit under 12" too.
