has been converted to 8.4" discs with braided hoeses.
lcb manifold, twin box exhaust system (im not sure who its made by)
minispares inlet manifold
nice reclining seats from another car fitted (i have NO idea what from though!)
has had some typical welding done in the past, sills etc and is now solid
only problem is, no engine!
im just trying this first before i start hunting for a new engine for it, but with a weekends work, and a 998 engine, you could be on the road.
£900 ono (try me, i might say yes!)
will add some pics tomorrow, my camera battery is on charge.
i am near-ish to dudley, will need a trailer to collect for obvious reasons.

in the cold light of the flash, there it is, its not likely to win any shows any time soon, but its a good cheap start to mini driving.
price reduced to £800 ono
its does have front reclining seats, but i took them out for the pics, and it was too dark to take a picture of them on the lawn so will have to add them tomorrow.
other bits i forgot are the smooth grp bonnet (although badly painted) on pins, and the tiny shirt button steering wheel.

I'd be tempted to ask if we could bob down in my mates van armed with a working 998 unit I have, jacks, tools and a folding engine hoist.
Then negotiate, buy, slap engine in (should take us about 2 hours) and drive it back.
Couple of things putting me off. The roof is detachable?
And its a stupid idea. :)
And I don't think I have time.

but as for the previous question of can you just slap an engine in and drive it, YES! all i have done is take the old unit out and kept it. as i said previously, a weekends work would see the engine in and running, and the roof welded down and painted. sorted for £600 ish for the car, an engine for £100ish, and some insureance.
