Just brought some repro metal. I asked for door pillar and door step and I got 2 parts that don't join up!! Very annoying.





This is for my 1987 Mini City and I just wondered if they might have sent me the wrong parts or did I ask for the wrong part.

I'm a little unsure about what to do. I've looked on Somerford and it seems they do a 1 piece step and pillar but it is a heritage part and a bit out of my budget!

Does anyone know where I can get the complete part?

That door pillar part goes inside the pillar. It acts as a strengthening part. You will need the outside part of the pillar. I bought mine from M machine, I think. It came with the door step attached as one whole part. I'm not sure if you can get the outside pillar bit on its own, I made the outside part on the passenger side myself but it took me a while and I wasn't too happy with it when I was finished. That why I got the wallet out and bought the drivers side, saved a ton of work and time.
