Hi guys,

Some of you may know that i work at Brooklands Museum. And i'm sure a lot of you had look at our Mini we set a new record with, building it in 4hrs 5mins 46secs. The car was then raffled off. The lucky winner came to collect the car today (couldn't have been a better day!)

So i thought i'd share with you the video of the build. The last 2 minutes shows the entire build in time-lapse photography. Enjoy....

We put a fresh MOT on it this morning before it was picked up. We restored it, took it apart and then re-built it on the day. The build team was comprised of LSMOC members, and Minispares very kindly donated brand new parts for it. So it's actually a cracking little motor! Even started first turn of the key on Mini Day!

I went up the test hill after it's run up there. It had a leak coming from somewhere.....
They still did a fantastic job getting it finished in the time though.

The leak might have been down to that Moke dumping its transmission all over the hill. I certainly didnt see any oil leaks following it up the hill.

It was when we were waiting at the top of the hill to come back down. The marshals told them to move when they spotted the leak...
