Not sure whether this is the right section or what but I have a really simple question...

My mini didnt have any back seats fitted when I brought it, so I have just recovered them in a new set of seat covers but now I don't have a clue how they are fixed to the body? I guess the base just sits on the step but how is the back fixed? do I need brackets or what?

there should be two brackets at the top of the back piece that slot into place and your correct the bottom piece just sits in place.

Later seats also had a strap that connected the upper and lower together, then there was a screw that went through each strap and into the rear bulkhead... Not essential though! :)
