Hi, I'm currently rebuilding my mini and it needs two new doors, was just wondering if anyone has any experience with carbon fibre ones? Was looking at the ones arc angels sell, would put up a link but I'm on my phone. Basically just want to know what they're like on a road car and how well do they fit etc..
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Are you looking at them because you want the weight saving or are you trying to avoid corrosion? Arc Angels do make good products but personally I wouldn't bother with fibre glass or carbon doors on a road car.
Generally speaking they're made for race cars where a perfect fit isn't as important as it is in a road car which can cause some issues when it comes to setting door gaps. Some composite doors also suffer with the skins flapping at high speed and you're pretty much restricted to MK1 style sliding windows or a small sliding hatch.

The weight saving mostly, the lack of corrosion is a bonus really. I don't plan on doing many miles in the car as I walk to work everyday.
Can you use the standard hinges with the doors?

Yeah standard hinges should go straight on or you could use aluminium ones form the likes of Mini Sport or DSN Classics.

I have the fibreglass doors from the arc angels and i have to say they are very light and appear to be very strong. I cant comment on what they fit like as i havent fitted them yet, only offered them up to the car. I have heardnreports however that the window frame can shake and bend. Also you will have to fit perspex or polly carb windows.
