- you need a very small white pen/brush now and put 'Paddy Hopkirk' on the wing :)

That looks great, I started one ages ago. Hopefully finish it during the Easter holidays now I've got some time!
Maybe you should start a complete mini rebuild thread ;)

Other than that, very good job. I have a classic Mini die-cast kit and plastic kit. Started both, built up bugger all. I'm sure they'll start rusting soon - even the plastic one.

Why Paddy Hopkirk? The car was driven by Rauno Aaltonen and Henry Liddon in the 1967 Monte Carlo.
Good looking model by the way, I built on of those over 20 years ago, along with a standard Island blue Cooper S, long gone now though.

The last time I tried one was when I was about eight, I dropped the red paint all over the new blue carpet...

...I decided to move my bin over the stain, which delayed the telling off for a few days

I've got a Mazda mx5 model to start and you've inspired me!
Can I ask; how did you get the window surrounds and details so neat - a steady hand or masking? Any tips on the right kind of brush (long bristles/short bristles?)
Cheers!

Red centre clock surround?

Had to go with the pictures on the box, what color should it be. Gotta remember, I've never seen one IRL.
