Hi guys,
Does anyone know where I can buy a cheapish MPI front windscreen from? I've searched the web and really can't find much :/

No, pre mpi are thinner glass (approx 5.5mm) and mpi are laminated around 6.5-7mm and have the alloy dipping mirror lug bonded to the screen..

After some research on the net, it would seem apparent that they aren't... The MPI ones have mirror fixings built in, which gives a lot of suppliers an excuse to charge an extorniate amount :/

Wood & Pickett used to be cheapest when I last bought one, but haven't checked recently.

They are a fair bit thicker than the standard Mini ones, and made in much much smaller volumes, hence the extra cost unfortunately. They are still considerably cheaper than the £300 Rover Stealers used to charge for them

Also, I heard recently that if you get a replacement MPi screen from Autowindscreens etc it is just a standard 'thin' screen and they glue the mirror lug back on from your old one!

Anyway, I have a genuine one, as above at a much more reasonable price so if you get stuck PM me!
