Ah, I read the title as Sainsburys LSDs. I'm gonna leave quietly before anyone notices.

Because the salisbury is a plate diff it has preload build into it, tjhis meens that the two shafts are effectively joinred together by this preload , the net result is heavy steering at low speeds due to the tyres scrubing on lock,

excellent on the track

not for the road tho

i ran one in my historic race mini

which was road registered as historic car

so i could road test save taking it to the track

all the time after working on it ( the one in photo)

The Quaife LSD would be better for the road. Bit more friendly.

It does become a pain at times, but as carl said, it depends on the diff's pre-load which isnt always a set amount, and as the diff gets older the plates become weaker. Is it a new diff? and suspension settings will effect it too.
When iv driven 205's with tight plated diff's i only found difficultlys on tight sharp, slow corners... such as turning onto a road and planting it, almost feels like it brings you round, almost found the curb. never needed to parralel park one tho
