Hi
Just wondering what column that is collapsible fits the Mini ?
I've heard the MK3 Fester , Allegro , and Ford KA up to 2008 & maybe Corsa
even thou I'm a welder (who has made lorries etc to ISO 9001:2008)
I'm sure I'm not allowed to weld up a steering column ???
I've removed the bottom dash rail , and don't want to weld in the cross brace ,
until I've got the new column in - I would like something that will be approx the same position
as I like the steering wheel position & don't want to move the seating position backwards
any Ideas / Pic's / diagrams ebay links - conspiracy theory's ???

If your struggling for advice on this, try asking the Zcars people, as i'm fairly certain a few Z cars have been IVA'd

The lotus 7 lookalike boys, extend their steering columns all the time, some of them aren't that great at welding but they seem to get them IVA'd and on the road without too many problems
MPI columns are not collaspible

you can weld the steering columns. factory colums are welded in some cars. peugeot i think are
Ka are really easy to remove, yaris also can remove just the flexible parts
Mpi are exactly the same setup as a standard mini column, solid shaft.
