Hi All,

Is there anyone who could recommend a garage in the Leeds/West Yorkshire area that is either a mini specialist or just has some personalities working there who are knowledgeable about minis ?

Many thanks

What kind of thing do you want doing?......I know of a good gearbox spot in Leeds near Holbeck, but I use a Classic Car spot in Malton for all other stuff mechanical and a different spot again in Malton for bodywork

You're not a million miles from MiniSport in Padiham.
Edit: Oh wait... Google maps has deceived me!

I know a private mechanic who's very knowledgeable about minis, engines and welding, just outside leeds. There is a local mini owners club in leeds too with loads of other very knowledgeable mini owners

There used to be someone right in the centre, around Roseville Road. Dunno if they are still going.

What are you after been done?

I need a webasto sunroof fitting (i'm too scared to try and do this myself and throw 200 quid down the drain).
I'm also just looking for a mechanic for general maintenance, but no bodywork.

I've looked at the LCMOC forum but it all seems very quiet on there :tumble:

that is is at the moment, but as a general mechanic there is a guy called jon who is very handy when it comes to engines, and a guy called daryl who's is a whiz when it comes to electrics. Both have helped me out and both come highly recommended. Jon is also a good welder and has restored a number of cars already. A look through his project threads should show you how capable he is. He took out my engine last year when it broke down took it all apart, helped me source a new engine due to the damage to my old engine and dropped the new engine in and set it all up for a very nice price.
