I don't know how many people are aware, but the pass plus is being stopped in 2 years (2014)
I asked my driving teacher and he says that this also means theat insurance companies will no longer consider the Pass Plus.
This is why I am doing a B-TECH course in driving, this works out cheaper and more relevent to todays motoringness.
The BTECH is done mostly when you have passed your test, through a 3 hour motorway course and an assesment to see how aware / comitant you are.
Then there's 2 booklets of questions to complete. These are done in your own time and you can ask people and use the internet ect.
I don't know everything about it but I'm sure there a website explaining it somewhere.
So my advice is, if you're considering doing a pass plus, then also consider the cheaper B-TECH. A few insurance companies are beginning to recognise it, one being Adrian Fluxx I think.
Only a handful of instructors teach it though

and its not going to make a massive difference on insurance at first, but insurers count it as a years no claims bonus i think, so over 2-3 years you will have saved money in the long run :)

That way you not only get the most universally recognised driving qualification by the motor insurance industry (for discount purposes), but you actually learn to drive to a far higher standard for life, thereby significantly reducing your chances of being involved in an accident in the first place and ever needing to claim/ loose your no claims bonus as well!!

...or better still, actually take advanced driver training lessons with Institute of Advanced Motorists instead!!
