Hi,
I tried posting this on the minispares forum, but to no avail, wondered if anyone on here might be able to help.
I ‘m after some advice on parts for the cooling system on my K-Reg (1992) British Open Classic.
I know that I have a thermostat housing with a sandwich plate, but I’m unsure which of the components in the minispares catalogue (see link) are suitable replacements. The ones I’ve looked at either specify older models without plates, or cooper models. Can anyone help?

Regards,
Dave.

Sandwich plate
This is the one I needed for my car. Unfortunately there was a wierd cut off point for these so some cars are fitted with them and others are not. I managed to break mine when I removed the housing to change the thermostat As well as two of the studs (makes sure u use plenty of anti-seize compound!)
Best idea is to ring up minispares and explain exactly what you need! If you have the old housing then describe it.
The difference is that cooper models were injection 1992 on so they sometimes have temp sensors in the housing, wheras the carb models do not.
by the way I assume the name is a hitchhikers guide reference!

Thanks, I had better give them a call. I hadn't realised at first that this was one of those 'kept on changing' components!
Oh, and my name is indeed a reference to The Guide. )
