Just had the garage on the phone about Max, great guys who specialise in classic Jags. Anyway they think the time has come to protect Max's underside a bit better, at the moment hes just greased up but they said they found a few tiny bits of wear and tear and to protect him for the future and help preserve him they think he needs something more now.

I dont want to cover him in black waxoyl although they did say theres a clear type available?

Any other alternatives to consider?

I have used Waxoyl before and been happy with results in the main.
But when I have completed the Mini this time I am going to try Bilthamber http://www.bilthamber.com/index.php treatments for cavaties and the underside.
I have been using their rust remover and and surface treatments and they have been the best I've tried so will be giving their treatments a go. I am a few months away though from doing that.
Have a look on the site, I have also had good advice from them when contacting them regarding products in the past and various magazine have voted them top for results.
Hope this helps
Glyn

Hes pretty immaculate and doesnt go out in wet weather, so its about preserving him more than protecting
