Hi,
i'm new to the word of the classic mini and this forum and i'm just posting to say hi.

I have a British Open Classic, 20yr old, 1275.

It hasn't been modified in the slightest and i'm planning on keeping it that way.

Also thanks, i'v already used the forum for loads of information including the regularly talked about "what oil is best" topics, although i'm still unsure haha :D .

The mini doesn't need much doing to it, I have already changed a leaky oil pipe, it does need a new oil filter and oil change, new thermostat because i think its stuck open, and a bit of rust cutting out and patching up under the doors.

Its's faultless as far as i can tell, I was expecting it to leak really but its been fine, i will have to check if its pinched but i don't think it is. I used some auto glym cabriolet cleaner and now its like water off a ducks back  .

What is it like for repairing and replacing parts for it if something where to happen, i'm scared to death of some scally slashing it, especially as my Uni's in Salford lol.

Are the Chrome wheel arches not standard? i assumed they were. Now looking at most they are black plastic. hmm, ah well, they look good anyway. But no spot lights! or stripes!
