I suspect the GY will be a bit rich as this was the standard needle in the 998 55bhp Cooper, and the M needles were standard in the 1275 S, trial and error with some plug readings on the GYs and see how they work out and then back to the needle charts if it is to rich.

Do you think a cooper spec with k&n cone filters will work with the GY needle?

@Dusky I was replingy to the OP standard 998, if you had a engine to exact Cooper spec and fitted cone filters I suspect it would be weak somewhere in the range

Got k&N+ stubstacks, but my cylidner head is standard valve ported
So Im doubtin between M and GY because I don't know howmuch te valve size will affect the mixture :l

Standard springs for the 1 1/4s I'd say, which from memory are the blue ??

Minispares advices me the E3 with red springs, I'll try my current needles with red springs first I think , E3 looks quite similar...
