Hello,

Please can somebody recommend a good mechanic or garage specialising in classic mini's in the Horsham area? Problems with my clutch / starter motor. Need to get it running ready for the Mini run!

Cheers

Gav

I would love to see if you get any response! I'm new to the mini scene... and i also live in Horsham!

I could do with finding a mini specialist garage.

Glad I'm not the only one then! I actually live in Brighton but the mini has conked out at my parents place in Horsham. it's criminal that my mini hasn't even been driven yet this year. :-( had it 9 months and only managed about 300 miles! Need to sort it fast!!

Many thanks! Problem is that it's not running so will wait and see if anyone comes up with somewhere slightly closer. Very kind of you though. :-D

I also live in West Sussex. And that I know off there arnt any Mini Garages around here. Just either get other Mini people or my dad to help with mine. Are you in a Mini club?

What's wrong with it anyway? Dose it turn over?

If you can trailer it up the M23 Fastparts in Croydon are excellent. Paul has been open and racing mini's in Rallycross since the 1980's, what he doesn't know isn't worth knowing when it comes to mini's. Raced an 8-port for years, knows his onions with A-series and K-series. Also has a rolling road at his business in Selhurst near the Crystal Palace football ground.

I highly recommend Sussex road and race in Littlehampton, the owner used to be head mechanic at John cooper garage before it closed.

Second this, worked with Paul, my avatar pic is on his rolling road.

Also, Croydon Minis by East Croydon station are good. Mine is in with them for MOT today!

Thank you all for your help. I've booked it in at Sussex Road and race for Sunday! This website is the nuts! :-D

The problem with the car is a lump of aluminium that was jammed between starter and fly wheel. Not sure where from but prob part of something expensive!! :-/

I use KARS Sussex, Percy is in with them for MOT (and fiddling!) at the moment. Keith is great, pretends he thinks they're a death trap and he'd never have one again but his face lights up when Percy drives onto the forecourt!
