hi, i have been a memver for a while but rarely post, i was wondering if anybody could give me a rough price what i should ask for my min as it is going up for sale as soon as its got some MOT!
it started life as a 1l mini mayfair, it is now...
1275 in kingfisher blue with sportpack arches 13" rims, retrimmed interior with cobra bucket seats and custom dash with chrome etc etc etc.
its had alot of money chucked at it but the bootlid is a bit rusty and the area below the boot hinges is rusty. apart from that its fine, is it worth getting the rust etc done as ive heard its a biggish job or shall i sell it as it is?
sorry for the big post, any help will be very much apprieciated!
cheers

From what you've described I would guess at you mini being worth 2-3k ish... it would sell for a lot more if it were rust free than not though
I'd like to see pics too though!

ok thanks mate that is more than i was expecting!
the trouble is will i get as much extra as it costs to sort the rust out, if that makes sense!
also if i get the rust sorted it will be mint and i will never want to sell it!
So are older minis generally going up in value ie. like classics?
Just realised i forgot to say its a 1985 'c'!

Sounds like the boot hinge panel needs replacing.
This could also need boot floor repair panel fitting and rear valence.
Then add the cost of painting / blending onto the panel and welding cost.
Then cost of bootlid repairing or replacing, plus paint.
You would need quotes to find out if its worth doing compared to the value of the car.
How much MOT and tax?
I would say 1.5-2k and it should sell nicely.

Are mini's really worth that much now? Mine's not been on the road for a few years while I've been restoring it but I can't remember them being that much then - I've kinda lost track of their value.
How much is my restored 1971 1275GT going to be worth?
(Cracking looking car by the way - I'm sure it is worth that much )

i would put it for, 5k ono, because of condition of it, your best bet is to look round some of the classified's same sort of age/condition and see what other people are charging, use that as a guide!
