Lost Locking Nut What Do I Do?

recently bought a new mini and with 10" superlites fitted we needed so brakework doing and the ocking nut was not supplied when we bought the car, is ther a way to get the wheels off?

Yeah 2 ways. First take it to a garage and they should have a tool to remove them but then you have to buy a new set of nuts. Second bash a socket over the top and remove them that way. Thats the only two ways i can think of.

To add to that, a thick walled impact socket (they're black) is better for bashing over the top as they don't spit as easily.

When i was stripping ours down, we took some bits away for storage, and with that was the locking wheel nut and had two wheels left to take off!

What we did, was get a bigger socket, and put a small peice of rod in it to go where the sticky outy bits of the locking key should go.

Just be carful not to round off the nuts!
