Hey,
Im restoring from the ground up my 1980 Clubby saloon, its original colour was Vermillion Red, i think so anyway, no ID i can find but under the nasty white respray( if you could call it that) is a lovely bright orange.
Should i respray the original colour, i love orange but really cant decide! Every pic ive seen of VR looks flat and not really orange...which makes me question if mine really is VR, the orange is def original as its under the white and before the steel.
I dont know if anyone else feels this way but i think some cars look good in certain colours and alot worse in others!
Take a 60s cooper for eg...perfect in red, yet the clubby i dont really like in the same colour! Im prob just weird!ha!
Can i have some pics please of clubbys in various colours and states of mods (original look to full on mad)
Really need to decide soon so any help would be great!
Thanks in advance
Ant

Its a real nice car but its not "orange" enough for me, if im going orange its gotta be loud!ha!
Please...no greens though! I was always told green is unlucky, thought stuff it one time, bought a green car and got reversed into at a petrol station within a few weeks! Guy sped off asked for cctv to id him to coppers...sorry the things on the blink!
Maybe theres something too it maybe not?
After the blood sweat n tears ive shed already im taking no chances!ha!
