It started first time no problem. but when i went to pull off, it wouldnt go into first gear and i had to ram it in, but since ive had the car ive always had to double cutch second gear. Please help I need to get it working asap. Bank Holiday weekend :)

Sounds like you may need to pull the engine out and inspect the gearbox. As above sounds like you need new synchros.

You can shuffle the gears by letting go of the clutch then stepping on it again and try putting it in first then.
Repeat till you can put it in gear.
Also, it's easier to put it into second first then shifting into first, if you find it difficult to go from neutral to first.
Your gearbox is just showing wear, I personally wouldn't worry about it till you can afford a gearbox rebuild.

My first takes ages to spin up to speed if Im going anything more than 10, so I have to wait till Ive braked down to the right speed to slide it in, always been like that, hasnt got worse in 20K of me driving the car. Cant afford a rebuild so Ive just got used to it!

If i was you just give the clutch a good bleed first. >it can be this if you're pumping the cluctch first and then it goes in smoothly after. Report back if it works

my first impression would be to bleed up the cluch, if it gets easier when you pump the pedal theres most probably air in the hydraulics.
