hello
ive got a project car which is a fibregalss bodied car but im not sure what suspension to fit.
Due to it being fibreglass and weighing about 550kg im leaning towards an adjustble set up and hi-lows some thing like a gaz or spax kit approx £200.
does anyone have any recommendations or advice?
cheers simon
p.s. im sure there wil be plenty more questions i'll need to ask!!

it depends on what you'll be using it for.

fast road/race go for fully adjustable rose jointed arms and coil overs. It won't give you a great ride though, so from there you want to consider hilos instead of coilovers, and then consider using bushed adjustable arms instead of RJ ones.

You definately pay for quality on suspension parts, so work out a budget and go for the best you can get.

cheers for the reply pikey
the cars not going to be raced just weekend fun car but i want it to go round corners well. Im going to poly bush the whole car and i thought the hi-low spax or gaz stuff would be pretty good, im not totally sure what advantage i woudl get with rose jointed stuff as im not going to race it.
thanks for the reply im only new to minis and dont know anyone and i dont think many people want to reply as im not in with the in crowd.
Think I will go and find out where my nearest owners club is.
cheers simon
