I bought 'most' of a bare shell/abandoned project a couple of months ago. Since then I've hit eBay quite hard......



managed to pick up a complete 1275 engine for the engine side of my project. The engine number is 12HA85AA which, according to guessworks is an A+ MGturbo. It came complete with a set of Minispares purple 1.5 roller rockers, so i'd like to incorporate these into the build.

On checking the Minispares website, it says the rockers are for "1275cc big bore engines only", this got me excited so I whipped the head off, but all I found were worn out 70.5mm bores. but at least that gives me scope for a rebore.

For the time being the engine will just be boxed up until the bodywork has progressed a little more.

mmm, head is stripped, doesn't seem to be a turbo head, it only has single ring collets with 7mm valve stems. judging by the state of the exhaust valve seats, it' hasn't been converted to unleaded.
