Ive got one and there very good for small parts and hard to reach areas. Problem is my tool pieces seem to wear down very fast and because the tools are so small it does take a while to cut and grind anything.

Useful tool to have around though for those hard to reach areas

Would think you'd be at it for a while trying to dress a weld with a dremel, but just get the best one you can afford, a suitable attachment and enough time and it should be fine

I've got a funny feeling with these that as soon as you start to attack a weld they decrease in speed very quickly. You really are better off with either a electric high speed grinder or air driven one using a carbide burr.

I have a corded fixed speed Dremel with a 90 degree attachment. I have not used it to dress welds. I have used it to split the pot joint inner star piece without damaging the drive shaft. I have used it to drill for removal the alloy ring that fits behind the seal for the rod change gear box without damaging the gear box.
However, I think that a Dremel with variable speed might be more practical and easier to use.
