Oh Dear... >_<
That. Is. DISGUSTING!
Such a waste of a Mini :X

Its just the front end

Yeah that's a good point...
My bad >_<
Although won't it have changed most of the structual stuff at the front end too? to provide the mounts for the new engine? O_O
Forgive me if I'm wrong, still trying to learn at the moment... :shy:
Fingers crossed the winning bidder restores it to it's former glory! :D

there are lots of minis out there with big engines, that have been done by people who know how to do it, a new front on this and it will be a very fast car that looks no different to the "real thing" here is a prime example, Same engine!

Lol, this i think is an ABS front end which was the first extended type front available for bigger engined minis. they were relatively common 10 or so years ago

They are about a 5" extension and allow the builder to use the original Vauxhall exhaust manifold and radiator (2l 16v)

Mine has the same front and i quite like it's 'ugly duckling' appeal ;D

Doesn't matter what the front looks like as you would only ever see the back of it as it flew past you :D

I dont think it would be too bad if the nose didnt have so much "droop"

I'd call it Snoopy :)

I just don't understand if you can do it without extending it, why you would need to extended it this much!!

For a time it was the easiest way to get a much bigger engine bolted in your mini.

For the first time you could buy everything you need in kit form. The one in the ad has an Allspeed frame but the first for Vauxhalls was AMT who offered a compete mechanical kit, and ABS offered a lengthened front end which although sticks out a long way, is well made and allows the amateur to get one with the build without learning tricky body modifications

As time has gone on more options have become available and a lot might have gone back and redone it but once yopu have a reliable 150hp+ mini you tend to forget about it and enjoy driving it. You can't see it from inside if your seat is nice and low :D

By having it this long you can use the original exhaust manifold and radiator saving £££ in your build!
