What Colour Is Anthracite

I'm looking at some new 5 x 12 wheels (I've seen some lovely examples on MWS but based on what I've read on TMF, let's leave that one there...) and given that my Mini is white, I thought a bit of a contrast on the wheels might be nice - specifically Anthracite based on pictures I've seen.

I've been looking around and have seen people stating that Anthracite is anything from grey to green to blue (one person thought it was drug related...) which is not what I want so before I decide to give up on that and go for black with a chrome rim, I thought I'd ask if anyone has opinions on what colour it actually is?

And I have tried to go and have a look but most Mini places are nowhere near me and the ones that aren't carry very little stock and nothing that I want...

if were talking about the Rover anthracite (which the roof of Vini is painted in and so is JuJu's mini) then yes under different lights etc it appears to change colour this is due to the lacquer that is used (dont ask me what as im not a painter)

I have the same problem with my wheels. Anthracite (on aftermarket wheels) can range from gunmetal silver to dark grey & almost black. Speak to a supplier.

Anthracite on bodywork (minis & rovers anyway) is a dark metallicy bluey purpley green, but that doesn't help you.

The wheels on my Traveller are Minilife 4.5x10 with anthrcite centres and diamond cut rims.
